Courses
Learn Natural Beekeeping at Boglands
At Boglands Bees we offer small, hands-on day courses focused on natural Warré beekeeping. Our courses are designed for people who want to understand and work with bees in a respectful, low-intervention way.
Day Courses
Our in-person courses run from 10am to 4pm and are limited to a maximum of 8 participants. This small group size allows for a calm, personal learning experience with plenty of time for observation and questions.
Courses take place at Boglands Hideaway in County Offaly, surrounded by the peaceful rural landscape of the Irish Midlands.
What You Will Learn
The philosophy and principles of natural Warré beekeeping
How to work with the bees’ natural behaviour rather than managing them intensively
The design and management of Warré hives
Seasonal observations and gentle hive inspections
Building and maintaining hives from locally sourced materials
Future Learning Options
We are also developing self-paced online courses for those who wish to begin learning from home, with the option to later attend practical sessions at Boglands.
Who These Courses Are For
Whether you are completely new to beekeeping or already keep bees and want to explore a more natural approach, our courses offer a thoughtful and grounded introduction to working with bees.
